G&W Music Studio is founded by flutist Haiyang Wang (Harvey) and pianist Yunjia Guan (Gloria). As a married couple and classically trained musicians based in Orange County area, we enjoy performing classical, contemporary, and various styles of music for our audiences. We also enjoy helping people in lessons.
GLORIA
Pianist
Hello! I am a classically trained pianist who aims to be a well-rounded musician and teacher. I have been teaching for more than 10 years and enjoy spending my time and energy with my students.
I consider playing the piano as a fundamental skill, a gateway to learn all aspects of music including the proper playing technique, theory, history, as well as ear training. In the lessons, I work with my students in all of these areas and love watching them connecting the dots and reaching a deeper understanding in music.
HARVEY
Flutist
Hi there! I am a flutist and music teacher who enjoys sharing my love and knowledge of music. I have a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance and have taught music at college level, secondary, and primary schools. I look forward to meeting every person that life and music brings to me.
HOW LESSONS WORK
DURATION & FREQUENCY
Lessons are usually 40 minutes or 60 minutes long, once or twice a week depending on the age and needs of the student.
SUBJECTS
Currently we offer lessons for Flute, Piano, Music Theory, and Ear-Training.
LOCATION
Our studio is located near the Marketplace area. Lessons are offered in person primarily, and remote lessons are available for added flexibility.
PERSONALIZED TRAINING
We customize the learning targets and training plan for each student. Our instructors are very experienced in helping students to prepare for auditions, competitions, and music exams. We also enjoy working with students who simply want to learn for leisure.
STUDIO RECITAL
We organize Studio Recitals for our students to gain real-world performance experience, share their progress, and build confidence.
